(1) How are Rewards structured?
Sponsorship and Fandom Funding allows you to run a project even without a product or service.
However, projects cannot be run as pure donations with no rewards provided; you must design rewards to offer to supporters who participate in the funding.
You can create a variety of Rewards that leverage the project’s unique characteristics, as follows.
- Thank-You Messages or Project Results Reports
- Exclusive Preview Content
- Production Process or Behind-the-Scenes Stories
- Limited-Edition Package
- Participant’s Name Listed in the Credits
- Content exclusive to project participants
You can also offer off-the-shelf products or products and services currently sold through other channels as Rewards. In this case, you must clearly state this information in the project Story.
2. If you’re launching a project based in a specific region, consider Local Funding
Makers who are active in a specific region or are launching a new project based in that region can receive fee support benefits through Local Funding.
Local Funding is open not only to individuals but also to sole proprietors and corporations, and there are no restrictions on project categories.
(1) Regional Criteria for Local Makers
This program is open to makers who reside in or have a business location in any region except the following.
- Excluding Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Ulsan
The criteria for determining eligibility vary depending on the maker’s type.
- Individual Makers: Residence listed on ID
- Business maker: Business address listed on the business registration certificate
Local makers who meet the requirements are eligible for a 50% reduction in service fees.
(2) How is the fee benefit applied?
You do not need to apply separately for the fee benefit.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, the benefit will be automatically applied based on the information you entered in Maker Studio.
To ensure the benefit is applied correctly, please enter the following information exactly as it appears in reality when creating a project.
- Country
- Region
- Business Type
- Project Category
If you enter false information or select a category that differs from the actual project, your project may be subject to a request for correction or rejection, and you may be excluded from the fee subsidy.
In particular, for local funding, if the address listed on the business registration certificate (for businesses) or ID card (for individuals) does not match the business location or residence entered in Maker Studio, the benefit may not apply.
